Conservation and Protection
Inland Fisheries are responsible for conservation and protection of salmon and inland fisheries of Northern Ireland. It provides guidance on conservation, protection, development and improvement of salmon and inland fisheries, through working with angling clubs, fishery owners, and a range of other water users.

Inland Fisheries Policy and Legislation
Inland Fisheries is responsible, under the provisions of the Fisheries Act (NI) 1966, for developing policy in relation to the conservation, protection, development and improvement of salmon and inland fisheries in Northern Ireland.
Inland Fisheries Statutory Approvals
Inland Fisheries issue permits and exemptions, which allow the holder to carry out activities which would normally be illegal. The purpose and approval of these activities aims to contribute to the conservation, protection, development and improvement of salmon and inland fisheries in Northern Ireland.
