Communications and Relationships Sub-group
The Communications and Relationship Sub-group reports to the Implementation group and one of it's role is to oversee and facilitate effective dissemination of information provided through sub-groups to stakeholders.
Terms of reference
To achieve Outcome 1 the Communications and Relationships Sub-group will:
- identify and agree priorities for Implementation Group approval
- thereafter agree a work programme with priority areas identified for approval by the Implementation Group
- implement and report progress periodically to the Implementation Group
The Sub-group will:
- Communicate with DARD
- Oversee and facilitate effective dissemination of information provided through Sub-groups to stakeholders.
- consider available mechanisms of communication
- provide advice to the Implementation Group on communication issues
- agree timeline for objectives or actions decided by the Implementation Group
- develop DARD’s links with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and the Marine (DAFM)
- develop a communications strategy as set out in the Strategy for the Sustainability of the Honey Bee
- reassess the objectives of the Communications and Relationships Sub-group bi-annually

Priorities
- to review how we are communicating, for example, via agreed publications posted on websites such as NIDirect and INIB, UBKA and Association websites
- to develop channels of communication. Channels of communication would be through the DARD password protected area and through INIB and UBKA and their associated groups
- to agree how we communicate with stakeholders, through websites, Associations, etc
- to develop a corporate style
