Consultation description
The Department of the Environment is proposing draft Regulations which would amend the current F-gases Regulations. The new draft Regulations are to be called the Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2013 (“the draft F-gas Amendment Regulations”).
The draft F-gas Amendment Regulations seek to:
a) amend the definition of an offshore installation in regulation 2 of the current F-gas Regulations, so that offshore installations with the purpose of the production of energy from water or wind are included in the definition;
b) amend regulation 51 of the current F-gas Regulations, so that the Department becomes responsible for enforcement of the current F-gas Regulations on the abovementioned installations used for the production of energy from water or wind; and
c) technical correction of a minor misquote in regulation 48 of the current F-gas Regulations on corporate offences.
