Pollution Prevention and Control fees and charges
Operators of PPC (Pollution Prevention and Control) activities are required to pay a fee to the government regulator to cover the regulator’s costs.
This is in line with the ‘Polluter Pays’ key principle, where the operator bears the cost of any measures to prevent environmental harm that they may cause.
Part A and Part B permits
The fees and charges for 2023/2024 relating to Part A and Part B permits issued under the Pollution Prevention and Control (Industrial Emissions) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2013 are summarised below:

Part C permits
The fees and charges for 2024/2025 relating to Part C permits issued under regulation 25 of the Pollution Prevention and Control (Industrial Emissions) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2013 are listed below.
If you wish to make an application for a Part C permit, variation, transfer or surrender please contact the relevant District Council for advice.
